What is a Content Management System (CMS)?
A Website Content Management System (often abbreviated to CMS) allows non-technical people to edit the content of their website, without altering the design.
A CMS removes the need for a web designer for day-to-day content updates, saving you money and making the process very much quicker.
Unlike cheap or free 'click and pick' website builders, your website is custom designed for you, or we can use your own graphic design. Unlike 'enterprise' CMSs there are no complex functions such as workflow and user rights management, just fast website editing with professional support.
The user interface is easy, quick and fully WYSIWYG, so you can 'get the flow' as you create your content. The CMS is designed for search engine compatibility, so you stand the best possible chance of getting found.
The CMS is hosted with us, so you don't have to worry about maintaining your own server, or managing software updates, and you don't have to think about where your files are stored, everything is done via one simple login.
How much will it cost?
Design, setup and training starts at £550* plus VAT. This includes:
- build of three page starter site tailored for you - each page can contain about as much as a printed A4 sheet
- up to four scanned images per page
- registration of your chosen domain (.com / .org / .net for one year or .co.uk / .org.uk for two years - subject to availability)
- hosting of your site on SQLWeb.net servers for one year
- site maintenance for one year (bug fixes etc. only - does not include re-development of content)
